Making practical support accessible
Our aim is simple: nobody should miss out on practical support because they cannot afford it.
Harbwr is built around a simple monthly support model, but we recognise that not every individual or family who would benefit from practical coordination and ongoing support can realistically afford the standard subscription.
As a Community Interest Company, we’re committed to making practical support accessible to people who might otherwise miss out because of financial circumstances.
Our ambition
Our goal is to develop a limited number of fully funded places through grants, charitable funding and community partnerships.
Each funded place would provide the same trusted, practical support as Harbwr’s standard monthly service, helping people remain independent while giving families greater peace of mind.
Every funded place has a service value of £200 per month, with the aim of external funding covering the full cost so eligible beneficiaries do not have to contribute financially.

Appointment planning and accompaniment
Transport arrangements
Liaison with local services and tradespeople
Community connection and signposting
Regular check-ins
Family updates where agreed
Harbwr does not provide personal care, medical care, nursing support, medication administration, cleaning, home maintenance or emergency/crisis support.
Where we are today
Fully funded places are currently in development and will depend on external grant funding. They are not yet guaranteed.
Harbwr is actively exploring funding opportunities and building relationships with local organisations to help make this sustainable.
Alongside this, we’re inviting individuals, families and community organisations to register their interest. This helps us better understand local need and provides useful evidence to support future funding applications.
